You are a wonderful guitarist and vocalist. Not only that. The song and video are excellent. This deserves many more listens!
I would be interested to know what you used to track the guitar and vocals. The sound is perfect. Pristine and clear. And example of how it should be done.
Hi Tim,
Thanks for your cool comment.
I recorded guitar and vocal in one take ,guitar plugged in the pre and vocal through an old Sm58 in the second channel of the pre( an Art pro mpa) actually each out of the pre is splitted one out goes to the converter and the other one is routed through a cheap dbx compressor( they all say it is a crap, but it gives a kind of dust I like).
Then I replayed the guitar through a condenser( in this case I had to do some overdubs at the end to get close enough to the initial take due to the " no click" process) .
The boring part of it but I think important one is that I clean every track with RX.
A trick which helps me also a lot with the Sm58 is to pay attention to stay quite " far" from the mike ( at least 0,4 meters) because it makes the vocal track much easier to cope with afterwards.
Hope it helps.
Thanks again.
Olivier.
