This is a SERIOUS thread about toenails.

Do you take regular care of yours?
Do you keep them long or short?
Are they hard and brittle and misshaped, or well-groomed and supple?
Do you get pedicures?
Do you paint them?
What do you do with the clippings?
Are the clippings any good sprinkled on asparagus?

Oh, and to keep the connection,

Do well-groomed toenails help you as a Musician?

Like my father I have a big right toe that curls up naturally. If I don't keep that toenail trimmed I can ruin an otherwise perfectly good pair of shoes in less than 30% or the normal expected life span.

I poke through a lot of socks if I don't keep the big toe's clipped.

i forget which way to cut them.. straight across is supposed to be the best for toe.. and in an arc for finger nails..

with toenails.. you can get in grown ones if you cut them as an arc..

best time to cut em is after a bath / shower.as they aren't so brittle.. hhmm that's all i know..

I have been watching yellow fungus on one for years. So far it has not tried to extend its boundaries so we have a detente going. It doesn't attack my cuticle, I don't grind it off with a belt sander.

If you let them grow long enough, you can clip them to make guitar picks. MMM there is nothing that sounds as good as an all natural guitar pick.
