hello,

I've done a lot of research on this so far, but can't find a solution:

I have my guitar plugged into the guitar input of the UA-1G, a pair of active speaker is plugged to the ouput; the ua-1g itself is connected to the usb of the PC; advanced driver is on and - in the control software - the asio listening option is disabled.

So, when the guitar is plugged in I can hear the clean sound of it- thats fine. But when I'm using amplitube (or anyhting else) with Reaper/Kristal or any VST host software I just want only the processed audio signal of the software, not both (the clean input signal ist still there). I don't use the cakewalk for recording but for playing around a bit when my real amp is not @ home.

How can I mute the clean input signal and just get the processed output signal?
thanks!

Sounds like a input monitor issue. So if you are listening to the input or listening to the input after it's processed. There seems to be 4 dip switches on the back, the 3rd may be the solution,. From the manual

[INPUT MONITOR] Switch
These are miniature switches that you can move upward or downward when you want to change various settings.
This specifies whether the audio signal received at the GUITAR/MIC jack, the MIC
(PLUG-IN POWERED) / DIGITAL IN jack, and INPUT jacks will be output from the
PHONES/DIGITAL OUT jack and the OUTPUT jacks.
ONSwitch DownThe audio input signal will be output directly from the PHONES/DIGITAL OUT jack and the OUTPUT jacks.
* If the [REC SOURCE] switch (P.14) is set to DIGITAL, the PHONES/DIGITAL OUT jack
and OUTPUT jacks will output the audio that was received in digital form at the MIC
(PLUG-IN POWERED) / DIGITAL IN jack, regardless of the setting of this switch

Try changing the switch position. It does say something about this being able to be done from the software, so also try that.

thank u so much- that solved it! for years I've used the cakewalk only to record my vinyl collection and I 've never looked on the back... thought it's a software issue...
