I opened up an old song and Triangle II was missing. I looked at the Sonar Platinum edition and noticed it was not in the line up of VSTs. Did you just get rid of it? How can I get it back? I hate when sonar takes away synths and effects. It drives me nuts. I found out that I could get some of the old effects if you had the disks. Hmmm...what do you do if you never had disks? 

Triangle II was never bundled with SONAR.

Anything which was sold as a download from Cakewalk should be available in your store account. Triangle II was a free download so it would not be in your account. Best bet is backup and archive downloaded installers.

Yup, went on a hunt for Triangle a while back when I was beginning Simon Cann's book "Cakewalk Sythesizers ...".  He starts off with that one to teach the basics of synthesis.

Too bad I can't pick up Square, Pentagon and SFZ+ the same way. :(
 
Triangle downloads directly, but the other 3 take you to the deprecated sales cart. 

Square 1 is currently bundled with SONAR.
 
Pentagon I was never released for free but was bundled with SONAR for years. I suppose most that used it would still have access to it from a previous version of SONAR.
 
SFZ+ while given away for free for a limited time required a serial number so Cakewalk used their store to fill requests for the plug-in. Those who took advantage of the free offer or purchased the synth should have the download in their store accounts.

I knew I'd seen Square somewhere. Doh!
 
I've seen Pentagon referenced a few times in the forums. Too bad it's no longer available. Nothing wrong with old (like me!) and simple (not quite like me; yet!).

Pentagon has a serious problem with patches using some of its speaker simulations. In 64bit SONAR it would cause a loud continuous blast of noise upon loading the patches. Still it was the only synth bundled with SONAR which could be configured as a vocoder.
