Ok so I have an odd question about what ifs...so here is the scenario, My brother and I do a haunted house every year at his place and its been getting bigger and better all the time.. (lots of money invested to build this thing). So in years past we have gone around with a hand held camera to capture the event.  
 
this year we are putting in cameras and speakers through out the haunted house.. this is semi indoors.. and we live in the Pacific northwest where it can rain a lot.. since its not a permanent structure its not water proof. basically I was thinking of getting some cheap through away mics and run them to my x32 mixer to record the audio from different rooms and feed out audio to speakers from different sources with different locations.
 
So basicly my question is should I be concerned with water messing up my board or the pres in the board in anyway, if water damages the mics... im not an electrical guy so Im not sure.. on a side note im also thinking of getting some cheap home recivers to power smaller speakers, or using some cheap home theaters.. so some feedback on that could be helpfull too...

Can't you put the mixer in a dry location? Like in a van or car parked nearby? 
For these things normally you'd be wanting 70Volt system so you can use lighter gauge wire.  
One 70 volt 100 watt amp can drive a lot of speakers. But the speakers need to also be 70 volt. 
 
The other thing comes to mind is using bluetooth speakers. 
If you put mikes in light weight plastic bags they will stay dry. Sound is not altered much by thin plastic. Speakers can go inside bags too. 
 

Yeah the mixer will be in the house. (The real house, so dry area) Sorry thought I said that in the post guess I didnt. My question is like just say worst case scenario here. Mic falls into a puddle while the board is on.. am I in danger of damaging my x32 board?

Do not use any mikes that require Phantom power!! That would definatly fry a channel strip. Trust me on that one. I have had 3 cases of loosing channel strips due to Phantom power mishaps. 
Personally I would borrow a less expensive analog mixer for the task.

Want I mean is, the x32 is a real nice piece of equipment and I'd be reluctant to expose it to a situation like this one where the system is being subject to harsh environments. I'm thinking something like a old Mackie built like a tank would be more appropriate. 

Yea water and electronics do not generally mix well. Getting  a condenser mic wet with phantom on can definitely blow the mic and channel. You can buy weatherized outdoor speakers though. Maybe you could record with a couple of small hand held digital recorders. There are a number of used ones on Ebay in the 60.00 to 80.00 range

what about dynamic microphones? do you think they would be sensitive enough .. or lav mics? im starting to concider maybe some wireless mic options.... idk... 

I think its just gonna be easest to use digital recorders.. there cheap and many are very sensitive and I dont have to worry about messing up my board.. 
 

I'm curious, what are the recordings to be used for? 
There are a lot of  small diaphram condensor mikes that run on batteries. I have a few. I also have a few Boundary mikes that pick up a fly buzzing at 100 feet, they also run on batteries. My PZM's were from Radio shack and cost something like $44 back when.
