Yep.  I see a lot of slightly used F8's going up for sale.  :-)

Wonder if they're planning a F1 reboot

I found it listed *somewhere* for a grand.

If the F8 would work as well with SONAR as it does with S1 I'd already have one.  Not sure I want to give up the desktop space for 16 though

Remember it will never work as well with other DAWs as it does with Studio One.  It is really designed for Studio One, end of story.  The level of integration with Studio One is far higher than with other DAW's. But yes it does look cool. Personally I would be happy the Faderport 8 and as mentioned here there might be some cheap ones for sale now.

Definitely worth looking into - does anyone use the 8 with sonar?

The FP16 looks great! Presonus is working on support for Sonar.
At present, with the FP8, you can write and read fader automation but it has a ways to go.
Agree with Jeff about S1 integration. It is fabulous!

For real - this forum is LITTERED with people who want a control surface that will work in sonar as seamlessly as other daws!

Some Reaper folks have done a great job with support & flexible config for the FP1.  Very sweet.  I'm hoping the same happens with the FP8.  If/when that happens, I might finally make up mind and move to Reaper 100%

I agree.  Studio One has the absolute best CS integration approach I've experienced by a far stretch.  For other reasons I can't quite nail down, I just can't commit to SO.

If it weren't for "the kindness of others" Reaper would be in the same spot as SONAR as far as CS support goes.  Same with the UI.

If we could merge the best of Reaper, SONAR and SO, we'd have an awesome DAW!!
