This forum is a treasure of knowledge. I often found needed information by just  searching for the topic. It would be an unbelievable great loss if this invaluable archive would disappear. I hope it's possible to transform this collection of information into the new announced forum.

I didn't know new people weren't welcome.that surprises me.

You can only log on here with a Cakewalk ( Gibson) account ID. There is no way to sign up anymore. 
It's a dead forum. 
You can sign up for Bandlab and download the free software. But all of us left here are from the Gibson/Roland days.
 
What Bandlab said a long time ago was they would archive this forum so all the information will still be available via Google search. Possibly we will still be able to open the forum pages but the log in box will be gone. 
We will all become "guests".

This is what bothers me the most. The pop-up before logging into this forum is annoying for me because it is peddling CbB, yet the converse it not true.

My thoughts too. They can do some tweaks to this forum if required.
