Hi, I downloaded a folder containing samples and I want to play them on a keyboard as I would with a piano type vst. I'd like to load them all at once, without having to assign them to each key. Is there any way to do this?

Which VST exactly? I know, for example, Dimension Pro, Rapture , Rapture Pro can do this.

It depends on which VST instrument you have.

Yes, the question is a bit generic. It depends on the instrument itself, but you always need some kind of key mapping. Kontakt, for example, will make it automatically for you if you just drag and drop the samples in an empty instance. With Cakewalk sample playing instruments you will need to create an .sfz file first.

You can also do it in the Matrix View, drag all the samples and they will load each in one cell. You can then play them clicking on them, or map your keyboard or controller to do it. If you have a pre mapped template you can skip that step after you do it once.

The free TX16Wx sampler plugin will let you drag and drop in multiple sample files and maps them across a keyboard.

Includes a graphic keyboard mapping editor.  No sfz text file editing necessary!

Hey abacab, your suggestion is pretty good, I downloaded the program and it's the best out of what I've used so far and is delivering what I want, so excellent stuff, thanks!
