Hi,
Can I save voice audio in MP3 format? - using Music Creator 5 LE,  I want visitors to my website to be able upload an audio file to a mobile device (phone etc) and the website people told me that MP3 format was the best all round application for this.

I cannot hear playback through the Mic headphones (Samson 2uQ) - although I can hear while recording through the headphones and other audio/video played outside the cakewalk software,  tried all Help /troubleshoot options but got no where - now have to listen to playback through the computer speakers, pretty frustrating!

You can export the wave and convert it to MP3. Use that file to load to your podcast site.

You said you "can't hear the playback through the mic headphones" and I don't understand that reference.  Explain the mic in more detail.  Is it a USB mic?

Yes, that's a USB mic.

go to Preferences ("P" on the keyboard is the hotkey) then go to AUDIO>DEVICES
make sure that the Samson is checked as an output
also go to AUDIO>DRIVER SETTINGS and make sure that the Samson is selected in the PLAYBACK TIMING MASTER and the RECORDING TIMING MASTER.

if those don't work, you might need to change to MME driver mode.  you can do that on the AUDIO>PLAYBACK AND RECORDING tab.

Hi there, I went over your replies and thought I had found a setting for "bus playback" and set it to my mic spec etc. and recorded away no problems. However last night that after switching on the laptop and opening the same file and track as before there was no playback in the headphones, although there is sound getting through the headphones from other software, outside cakewalk (windows etc) I'm convinced this problem is in the software but why would settings change like this?

I don't know what the setting for "bus playback" means.  is this in some software interface for the Samsung Mic?

Hi Beagle, sorry "bus playback" is an incorrect term on my part but last night it seems as though the playback works fine in a specific USB port on my laptop. It seems a bit bizzare and random but I hope this is a solution! Thanks again for your help.

Once installed, some USB devices like to be plugged into the same port. Moving them around causes problems.
