just ordered a set.
will report back on it.

currently, i have 1 guitar outfitted with Schaller strap lock (permanently installed), 1 with a dunlop strap lock system (same deal),
and one guitar with a Dimarzio 'clip lock' strap, again, permanently installed.

i have my 4th guitar with a strap that has a built-in lock mechanism on it, that i don't like at all.

the schaller and dunlop system work well, and i have no gripes, other than i can never change the strap, without taking the whole thing apart.

the dimarzio works well, but the 'clip' part remains attached to the guitar, which requires great diligence when putting in the case, because if it is closed up against the body of the guitar, it will mar it.

joe satriani endorses these, and he even has his own Daddario locking strap, but likes this instead.

I like the threaded "nut" type on my Gretsch.  Only problem the strap has to be taken off to fit in the Gretsch case.

I use Fender Strap Blocks (similar) for my R9 Les Paul.

I've used Shallers for years without any problems, but I tried Fender's round rubber/plastic locks on my SG because the neck end strap button on SGs is located facing backwards by the heel and Schallers didn't strike me as very practicable there because the button would get in the way.

The Fenders are cheap and seem to work very well. Though they do mean it's easiest to leave the strap on the guitar all the time.

I've had a big wood screw and a 1" washer holding the strap on one of my guitars for around 15 years now.  It has never failed me.

I have the Schaller and Dunlop strap locks. They work fine/ I want to get something different for my new guitar and I was seriously looking at the Loxx strap locks. I like to be able to easily take the strap off when I want to.

I am curious to hear how you like the Straptight strap locks

I have standard Schallers on all my electrics and basses and so it's easy to share the same strap. I find when I use in ears that pulling a guitar over my head is a bad idea. So I just undo the straplocks and switch guitars leaving the strap over my shoulder. Well,, it often falls off but al least I've never dropped a guitar.

On my acoustics you don't need them as the end pin has the patch cord holding the strap in place and I always put the heal strap button a little around the bottom side so they seem to hold on well.
