Hi,

I've got a new song out. It's called "Fly a Kite" - you can check it
out here:
https://www.soundclick.co...er.cfm?songID=13742836

It features the usual suspects:
Superior Drummer
some Kontakt stuff
MODO Bass
real Strat and Tele - with amp sims

Please have  a listen if you have time ;-)

Don't forget - CDs (including my newest one "Pull the Other One")
are also available at https://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/JohnBraner
and all the normal streaming services.

Not sure how the title gels with the music but I liked it, puts me in mind of King Crimson/The Mothers somehow ... think you have a fan (I'll watch this space)

Thanks a lot for listening Supa.

We'll the title comes from a line I heard on the TV. A comedian called Peter Kay, was talking about having "wind" and he said something like "right now you could fly a kite around my a**h**e".

I was laughing for a couple of days - and thought it was a good name ;)

I can hear overtones of MR Fripp in the guitar work, mix sounds OK here, likewise do not see the connection with kite's but sometimes the title is just that, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for listening Wookiee.
I wasn't particularly thinking of Robert Fripp - but there *is* some chorusy/univibe stuff going on and some odd timings and parts working off of each other - so I guess it *was* influenced by him

Oops, I'm talking about the wrong song (the one I'm still working on).
But thanks for the Fripp reference anyway 😉

Sounds like a bubbly, happy kite to me.

Nice contrast between the space of the synthy sections and the dryer/rockier guitar parts.    Oh, and loved the little "record-stop" bits you threw in there.  Nice touch.
