Hey everybody

Managed to get around to buying GT Pro 4. When I run it after installation I get the error message 'CANNOT INSTALL MASTER.INS NO INSTRUMENT DEFINITIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE'. Re-installed several times and used a previous restore point on my laptop but the message still appears. Does anybody have an idea what this is and what's causing it. Would really appreciate the help.

Hi there George, welcome to the forum.

To try and resolve your issue, you may need to force GTPro4 to 'repersonalise' your installation.

To do this, launch GTPro4 while holding down the Shift key on your computer keyboard.

This will force a resync of your application data to the current user (you will see a prompt on launch), and will hopefully solve your problem.

Hey Steve, thanks for the welcome.

Your suggestion worked. Not surprised really. After trawlling through the forum it appears that you and Doc Hollingsworth are the fonts of all knowledge as far as some of this gear goes. I'm using GTP4 with UX2 (I believe a favourite of yours). Got a couple of tweaks I need to do on the buffering etc (getting some popping the the headphones) then I'll be ready to record that masterpiece we all have in us!

Thanks again - George

He he - thanks for the kind words George, and I learnt most of this stuff from Doc anyway!

And I'm glad your problem is sorted - post back anytime you have a question about anything else.
