I understand where you're coming from.  As far as young people go, I'd agree with you that positive reinforcement is the best route.  But as adults, we can stand a little criticism here and there.  As far as professional critics, what a nasty racket, no?




Critisism can be positive, constructive feedback. To belittle is not a synonym to critisism.


I guess that's where the confusion came from.  I never said belittle, but he interjected the twain phrase.  I was thinking of the inability to accept (bad OR good) criticism.
