I'm sure there was a video from FastBikerBoy, where he had found this option within Audio snap, the use of negative measures. He released a video correcting an earlier one, when he found an  easier way. And proclaimed that he wasn't aware that this feature existed.  Just tried searching, but cannot find it. He was  aligning a live preform ace to the time grid

Found it. Just seems to be Bar Zero, so just the one bar offset

I think this would be a great feature too.

It would be good to be able to set first beat where ever, and have it referenced when bouncing to tracks/clips.

Currently I start all projects at measure 5 to have what is requested
This means:
four measures are available for pre-roll, count-in, and relaxing into the click
clips can be moved past zero
 room for new intro material
 can work on tempos
 and so on

After the mixing bit, I trim the clip, apply trimming, move to zero, and bounce to clips.

And, Robert's my father's brother.

Being able to move the first beat would be real useful.

I have no use for this feature, but you all seem really passionate about it so I'll give it a 5-er

Good one.   I always make the first bar longer (6/4 if my piece is in 4/4), but that is a little extra time for every single project ..
