Be sure to follow the recommended installation. Generally, it's not necessary to have to manually add things on the initial install......

Try right clicking on the MC7 icon and run it the first time as ADMINISTRATOR..... many times, that ensures it starts correctly and from then on, normal startup works and you can see everything.

Hey Davsou, If you are new to the Music Creator 7 series the SI-Suite is a separate download through the Command Center. You'll need to download / install that and relaunch the app before they show up.

If you already owned MC6 Touch you probably have the 32bit versions of SI installed. Now that MC7 is 64bit compatible you may need to scan the 32bit version by adding a scan path to them. This is pretty easy, take a look at the steps below.

  • Open MC7 and go to preferences
  • Under File select VST Settings
  • Click the [Add] button under VST Scan Paths
  • Add the following path C:\Program Files (x86)\Cakewalk\vstplugins
  • Once this path is added the plug-ins will be automatically scanned and show up in the app

I would still recommend installing the latest SI-Suite through Command Center since that includes the 64bit versions of the plug-ins.

Hope this helps,
