I replaced my BCF 2000 with the X-touch a couple of weeks ago.  I'm impressed with the unit but unimpressed with the lack of documentation.  If it weren't for this forum and Sweetwater I'd still be trying to get it configured for Mackie mode and setup in Sonar Platinum.

I have the X-touch but it seems that my Sonar Platinum can't connect to it....
It all worked fine for a few days but now it just keeps saying "Connecting..." in the ACT pull down men

Did you try removing, and re-adding it as a control surface?   Also, did you try a different USB cable or port?      Also, Try switching  to Midi mode, then back to Mackie mode to see if that may help.   I know, it sounds silly, but you'd be surprised just how often the simplest solutions can be the answer.

I do hope this helps.

Did you turn the unit on before launching Sonar?  You should try that.  Sometimes Sonar doesn't pick up hardware that is turned on after the program launches.

I love my X Touch.  I wish there was more documentation.  I want to route the expression pedal to somewhere besides the master fader.

For those who lose connection, go into SPLAT preferences and make sure the X-Touch is recognized.

I have returned the Behringer XTouch after a few weeks.
The faders are terribly loud.
How can someone mix music while this dot-matrix printer makes noise?
If someone searches a very quiet and flat controller with 8 faders (and needs no transport section and masterfader) I recommend to take a look for the Avid Artist Mix.

It works very well with SONAR and Windows 10.

My X-Touch faders were as loud as a needle printer, when 8 fader move simultaneously.
I have read in some forums that other users had the same problem.
Maybe Behringer installs different faders or has made a revision.
Previously I had the Cakewalk VS-700C that was loud as well - but quieter than the X-Touch.
And the mackie control is also loud.
The fact is: The Avid artist mix is not quiet - the faders are mostly inaudible.
I'm no fan of AVID - I only wanted to have an absolute inaudible controller with SONAR.

I have an early X-Touch.  The motorized faders ARE quiet.  I had a Behringer BCF2000 before and the faders were noisy on it.
