I just got a Samsung 850 EVO when the prices dropped and have been happy with it. The data migration (disk cloning) tool worked like a charm. I only have 2 SATA3 connectors on my motherboard so only connected the original drive and the Samsung for the cloning and when I booted up it had all directory junctions and authorizations in tact. The only niggle I encountered is that RAPID will not enable on my system, but it is not something I am really interested in anyway.

I initially enabled Rapid on my Samsung EVO 850, but eventually dropped it.  I really don't see any performance differences, but my benchmark numbers were wacko with RAPID activated.

I've been toying with the idea of getting one since I only have a 7200 rpm HD. Would it make sense to store all my audio projects on a SSD to improve performance? Thanks

Your performance would probably be improved much more if you kept the OS and all apps on the SSD. Normal 7200RPM HDDs are usually fast enough for audio files and moderate sample streaming.

I put the OS, all applications, and all VST plugins on the SSD.  All Cakewalk content, VST sample libraries, etc. goes onto the 7200 RPM HDD.

I allow Sonar to put the audio folders on the SSD, under the assumption that I will archive any projects to the HDD, so I do not end up using any significant space for audio on the SSD.  It is temporary workspace, so it takes advantage of the SSD speed.  Probably not necessary, but it works...
