We get organs dumped off at the Care home where I work and most sound horrid. Funeral stuff.
We have this one I kept, a flagship Technics loaded complete with 3.5 floppy disk drive for loading GM midi files. It's keeps a few resident busy playing the demos and pushing buttons to see what will happen :)
I blocked the volume pedal so it's doesn't go too loud.
I took apart a small 60's (Thomas?) organ once because all the "E" keys didn't sound. I ended up with a lot of very cool parts. A pair of 12" Jensens, an 8" Jensen down firing into a Styrofoam rotating Leslie gizmo, a nice volume pedal ( RCA jacks) and a 16" Accutronics spring reverb tank that say's _ "Made in ?? ( Wisconsin??) by Beautiful girls" There was a bunch of tube stuff but the connections where impossible to follow so I saved the tubes and tossed the rest.
