Great arrangement and mix...  sounds really clear and full.   Loved all the pads/background vocals.   The lyrics are definitely a bit pointed but hey, it works.

Yep your right! the lyrics ARE pointed, but us blokes have always had the odd relationship where the woman is a bit up themselves and broke our hearts ... that's how I found the right one ... never easy but the journey writes itself ... with a bit of Bull ........

I think it's a real good song and your singing is great on it. I think I would have went heavier with the instrumentation, especially the drums. It might be just a little too laid back. It's fine as is though. I just like to mention the stuff I'm hearing in my head because it might trigger some ideas. (I try not to bring up the Satanic voices. )
 
For what it's worth, I think some quick volume swells on the guitar during the opening of the solo would be cool.
