She was great in a different sense though. Created many a classic pop bass line and with a Jazz background, but never ripping it up.

I think that has a lot to do with the traditional "role" of the bass player. Bass is supposed to be felt, but not heard. Seen only with the stiff guy in the back with the drummer, LOL!
