I installed my new SSL G Comp and there is just a shell of the gui. Has any one had this happen? I thought I remembered hearing this come up on occasion.

Are you on Windows. Have you turned Aero off for any reason. Turning Aero off can do this to plugins. There is nothing to be gained turning Aero off.

B-Daddy - Hopefully Jeff's suggestion got you going, if not, I don't know if your situation is the same as mine, but I have an older graphics card in my laptop that I cannot update that doesn't support some OpenGL calls. A few plugin companies that utilize OpenGL don't work on my system and display blank screens or have missing sections in the GUI window - the Sound Radix Surfer EQ is one that comes to mind, also Eventide's Equivocate. I never got the Sound Radix to work, but the support from Eventide was fantastic and eventually we found that I could switch off the OpenGL calls and the plugin would work properly.  This is an option in the plugin settings.

All of this is to say that the last Waves v9 release broke my Waves plugins because they started using OpenGL and they do NOT have a switch to turn off the newer OpenGL calls. So my only choice was to roll back to a previous version that DID work so I could use my "new" Scheps Omnichannel and API 2500 plugins.  Needless to say, no more Waves plugins for me until I get a new DAW PC.  HTH!

Thanks for your replies. Jeff, I didn't turn Aero off. I have a pretty good amount of V9 Waves and 5 or 6 V10 and they all work. This is the first V10 I've bought. I have the Surfer EQ and it works too.

Yeah, it definitely looks like you've got a more current DAW PC than myself, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Probably worth a support ticket to Waves...

Did you try the uninstall/reinstall BD?

This has sometimes happened to me when I have a Waves plug-in installed, but have accidentally left the license in the cloud or on another computer. You should be able to verify whether this is the case by logging on to Waves Central to see where the licenses are.

I will un and re install Sunday. I do have the license  on the computer but that is a good reminder to check that. It has got me before. I did download and install it after (by a day) I ran the V9, V10 utility. Maybe that is involved. If the reinstall doesn't get it I'll start a ticket Monday. There also was a Windows update a few days ago so that could have something to do with it.
