  • Mouse/track resize bug in latest SPLAT or Windows 10 update?

I thought I saw a post on a track resizing issue recently but ignored it and now I can't find it.  I'm having trouble with track sizing in track view.  When I click on the bottom of a track to drag it, it resizes before I move the mouse, as do adjacent tracks sometimes.  It seems like Sonar is interpreting a single click as a double click.  I checked my mouse and File Explorer settings and it is still set to "Double Click to open an item (single click to select)."

I also noticed that once recently when I was in File Explorer trying to drag a photo into an email, the single click on the file opened it before I could drag it, so it may not be Sonar, but that is where it happens most often.  I couldn't reproduce the behavior in File Explorer and it doesn't always happen in SPLAT.  It's not happening

Thanks,
Bill

Thanks for this link to that other discussion, Johnny.  All the tips there are very helpful.  I don't think auto-zoom is involved or helps with my problem (unless I change my long standing work-style), which is oddly intermittent. I tried a different mouse (both Logitech wireless) and the problem seemed to be solved but then it came back - intermittently.

A clue is that (also intermittently) when I click in the timeline to set the cursor, it sometimes starts playing the project, as if I had double-clicked on it.  Since it has also happened in File Explorer (one click opened the file rather that selected it) it's probably Windows/Logitech wireless mouse related.  I'll try to find an old non-Logitech wired mouse and see if it changes anything.  Thanks.

Replace your mouse battery. I find that click control is the first thing to suffer when a battery is dying.

Also check the mouse sensitivity in Windows to be sure the double click speed is what you think it is.

Thanks, great idea, mouse experts Chucke and mettelus.  I tried 2 different mice, but then they are from the same litter so both may need AA's and a reset of settings.  I'll check and pop some in tonight.
