Hey Tclark its great for you to start a thread like this.  I remember one of your tunes on soundclick!!! - Not done much music over the last few years but done alot of sorting life out and all its mega dramas.............

I've got a PC or two set up and am gonna get doin some music now I'm more settled and just enjoy it.  Am here now cos I upgraded to Sonar X1 and also have P5 2.5 to use if I wish.  Would be great to get this forum going again cos I need to learn loads..........

Pity P5 wasn't continued as there is another software app Orion by Synapse-Audio that many love and like in the same way as folks here loved P5.......shhhh.....don't wanna talk about other company apps even if they are good..................point is tho that Orion is still going and it in development albeit very slowly......Maybe nothing much was needed in P5 to improve it but it could have been tweaked to be more efficient etc...... anyway blah blah -----Hope to see you all here on the fourms.....

In case anyone's interested, I've just finished my sixth album, aptly called Hexagon.

It's freely available for download at my website:

wow some familiar names here.. this is my first time here since 2007 probably... was sad to hear about the end of Project5, but i guess it was kind of expected.. still got it though, but don't make much music, so use it very rarely.

hope you're all well guys.

For my final thoughts maybe x1 is slighly more advanced than p5 v2 but for now I think p5 v2 is more stable in alot of areas and it built like a steel tank. No audio glitches from the recorded matrix performance but to me it's got a better matrix feel than ableton live8 IMO. I wonder what the creator of p5 is up to thease days?

X1 has better processors.  P5 still works better for getting a groove to gel.

I'm still around too, though not using Project V at all. Strictly Sonar X1c Expanded now. I also have a pro Soundcloud page and have uploaded all of my albums for free download on there:

http://soundcloud.com/avionik

I had posted 3 of my latest songs on Cakewalk's 'Song' forum, and all 3 garnered zero comments. I guess you have to be a guitar-swinging folk or rock hero to get noticed there. It's a complete waste of time for electronic musicians. So I had the forum posts deleted. Much better success at getting comments on KVR or 'The Recording Project'. People there are not so narrow-minded.

I'm getting close to releasing my 9th album, and for the first time will be using CDbaby to get it on iTunes and Amazon.

I'm purchased a few new goodies: Komplete 8 Ultimate, Maschine, and a newly released Zoom H2n surround audio recorder. Hope to integrate more real-world sounds into my tracks. Oh, also, new house and studio (but still never enough time to actually create).

Also still into photography. See my personal website for links to photos (including my new zombie ones ...)

Kev,

I haven't been doing the song forums for a while - nothing to upload and not enough time to check.  Otherwise you would have had one comment.  it does seem to be filled with guitar rock songs.

Wassup everyone! So many familiar people here... I moved to Ableton Live a few years ago, and I intend to stick with it. I guess 95% of what I do in Live could be done in P5, but I like the session/arrange views a lot.

Still making music, minimal techno stuff mostly, if anyone's interested, http://soundcloud.com/badbib

This community helped me a lot a few years ago, for the few P5 related questions I had, but more especially for all the good music I could hear around here, and how it pushed me to try harder and maker better music. I'm still studying right now, but I am very likely to end up in a music related job, working for the Bakers or similar companies would be awesome.

I'm glad to hear from you all!

Seb.
