Changed (W)ith (R)espect (T)o to when?
Shortly after the Control Center's introduction, I used it to install SONAR and found that had defaulted to installing 64 bit...since it saw that I was running a 64 bit OS. After that particular debacle, I chose to not trust it again and would rather use the "naked" installers on the theory that they would give me maximum control.
Hmm...is there really anything different in D-ProInstall_1.5.5.16.exe as far as the application is concerned? Is the 5.16 part just indicative of changes to the installer to make it "more intelligent", which is specifically the functionality that's giving me grief?
I might go back to the original media and try installing DPro 1.5 from there. It might be "stupid" enough to not second guess me and let me do what I want.
