Hello!

Can anybody here recommend a good mouse to use with Sonar?

Features:

- high number of customizable buttons
- buttons can be configured on a per-application basis...

Thanks!

I use a Logitech G900. Been happy with that though I don't really customize the buttons for Sonar. I like that I can have buttons on either side if I want them but can also take them off.

Thanks for your suggestions! Looked at them and seemed pretty cool, but one question remains for me:

It is not clear if I can customize a mouse with presets (button assignments) that I could recall per application? Say have a preset for SONAR... another for VEGAS... and so on...)

... Still searching.

That is done via Logitech's software using Profiles

I use a Kingston Orbit wired trackball mouse. It has just two large buttons. Left click and right click.
It gets me around dual extended 27 inch monitors very smoothly and precisely.
It's a trade off though. What it lacks in features, it makes up for in effortless, precise control.
Ive gone through a few mice searching for good SONAR control and found I like the combination of trackball, keyboard and MIDI controller best.
Good luck!
