Just picked up the DC8C today. Lovin it so far. I also upgraded VUMT to the deluxe version for only 12 bucks. The deluxe version adds so much functionality!! It's awesome!

Thanks for reminding me about VUMT Deluxe.  I have been meaning to upgrade for a while but so glad I did.  It is well worth the upgrade.  Firstly for the alternate meter contrasts with each skin is excellent.  The filters, Dynamic Eq and the Mono-iser effects are also great.  Nice to have a few things like this you can insert over your signal flow.  The ballistics of the meter movement is still great too.

With DC8C I started setting up compression over whole mixes first.  It is super great for that.  Nice on buses too and tracks of course but I feel to excels over a group of instruments.  It is also cool to watch how the ballistics change with VUMT as you adjust the compression coming from DC8C preceding VUMT.  Keep them both pinned open for example.  Those 4 DC8C modes are also pretty different and you need to get used to how they all sound.  I love Smooth and Punch a lot.  The others can kick hard if you want them to.  Get into the Expert Mode of seeing all the controls as well.  So much to fine tune in there.

A maintenance update (v3.0.1) just released. The manual was also updated.

This maintenance update fixes wrong labels for min. and max. attack/release times on the GUIs of each Easy Mode.
Also, the dynamic latency reporting has been made more robust. The Global Settings now feature two extra options, you can use if your host doesn't fully support dynamic latency reporting for both realtime processing and offline rendering. See the updated manual for details.

I already have the VU meter plugin, and was not really interested in getting anything else. With recent purchases from Plugin Alliance and Melda, I just said that I really don't need anymore.

But I ended up getting the MJUC compressor. I put it on a vocal and using the Mk I version I was really surprised at the quality it had. It had that great sound that the IK 670 emulation has. That smooth soothness is what I call it. For the money, it is an outstanding buy at regular asking price.

Thanks for bringing this up Fleer.
