That one also sustains as expected for me. I really have no idea what would cause the problem you're describing that wouldn't affect other synths as well. Still, it might be worth putting a MIDI monitor utility like MIDI-OX on the input port to see what's coming from the keyboard when you play notes and sustain at the same time. Possibly it's sending something that non-programmable synths don't respond to.

Also, that Almost Together patch is a Dim Pro patch, so maybe try loading it up in Dim Pro and seeing if you get the same behavior.

Yes, how knows. I don't get it.
I also try Dim Pro and pedal works fine.

I also download MIDI-OX. I take some information on it:

Hello odyssey70, I'm not able to readily reproduce your issue. It seems like there may be something specific to how your Roland controller is talking to Rapture Pro that is causing the problem. I'd recommend getting a hold of our Technical Support team who can take a more in-depth look at what's going on with your setup.

Hmmm... the obvious question is what are the two SysX messages? The first one is being sent right after the pedal down so it could definitely be interfering with Sustain function. But a quick Google of the hex bytes matched only this thread.

Maybe try putting the Event Filter MIDI FX on the track to block all Sysx. Or possibly the free TenCrazy  SustainFix MFX has an option for this. Or check your keyboards's MIDI Implementation to find out what that is whether it can be suppressed.

I made a video looking for an event that might help explain, but I'm not sure I've helped at all.

Thank you very much Geoff and everyone. I still don't know what's wrong with my Roland keyboard and Rapture Pro, but when i watched your video Geoff i'll see that they don't communicate how they should be. So, i walk to my outdoor storage and i looking for my very old MidiPlus keyboard controller. I plug my Sustain pedal to MidiPlus controller. I switch that one to my M-Track audio card midi in and Rapture Pro and MidiPlus keyboard controller works like a dream :)

My old pal is back and works great with Rapture Pro and sustain pedal.

My brand new Roland BK-5. Shame on you.

I still check the both keyboard controllers with MIDI-OX. I found one different. MidiPlus use Channel 1 and Roland BK-5 use Channel 4 when they sending data.

Rapture, like most non-multitimbral soft synths, should respond to data on any channel by default. I would still guess the SysX messages from the BK-5 are the culprit. But I think it it would be a Rapture issue that it's not ignoring SysX intended for some other device.

Yes. This could be the reason why Rapture Pro don't give a sustain. TruePiano and others still works with Roland BK and with these SysX messages.

I have to check if there are possibility turn off these kind messages from BK-5 some how.

There is a midi filter plugin you could use that might hide those messages from Rapture if they are getting in the way. I've done that where I identified a message that caused a problem.
