Hello
I have read the manual and I find no mention of what this button is supposed to do.
Any Ideas?

Not without knowing which application manual contains the reference.

If you are referring to the option "Record Wave" in the stand alone Rapture pro's command header then.

Recording audio (Windows only)
When used in stand-alone mode, you can record the audio output of Rapture Pro to a 16-bit wave (.wav file.
To record audio
1. Click Record WAV File-16-bit.
2. Enter a name for the WAV file and click OK.
Recording starts and the Record WAV File menu item changes to Stop Recording.
3. When you are finished recording your audio take, click on Stop Recording.

See Page 128 of the Rapture Pro manual.

Thanks Wokie. I had not used the Rapture Pro yet. I ofund it on the Z3Ta+2. But it is the same thing. I played with it the other night and it does sem to do as you say. Now if platinum would only create a single cycle wave file... that would be more useful... to me anyway.
