So, I got a Behringer X-Touch, hooked it up, did the firmware update, set it up in Sonar, everything is going well. EXCEPT.
The faders don't work. They move when I adjust the volume on a track with my mouse, but when I try to make an adjustment with the fader on the X-Touch the fader on the corresponding channel in Sonar doesn't move and when I let go of the X-Touch fader it goes right back to what the volume is on the Sonar channel.
Anybody got any ideas?

Oh, by the way, the X-Touch is replacing a BCF2000 which was exhibiting the exact same behavior (which is why it was replaced)
Also, just so you'll know, I deleted the BCF as a controller in Sonar before adding the X-Touch.

The software in Sonar for BCF and X-Touch is the same...
1) check BCF/X-Touch is sending something when you move faders (that should be PithBend events on different channels, you can just record MIDI from corresponding port, with Control Surface plug-in REMOVED)
2) try with a new project, without automation written. To avoid confusion, check you do not have Envelope/Offset Mode set for faders
2) re-install MackieControl DLL, or use moded one: http://www.azslow.com/index.php/topic,341.0.html

Thanks Azlow, I'll give all of those a try.
I didn't install MackieControll DLL as I was told the X-Touch was plug and play and didn't need any drivers. Sometimes I'm not the brightest bulb in the hall...

Again, thanks a lot!

Did you set the X-Touch for Mackie Mode.   I had to do that with mine to get it working.  Didn't have to use Azslow's driver, just the default that Windows installed.

Here is the procedure, thanks to Sweetwater.

MackieControl DLL is not a Windows driver, so the information X-Touch didn't need any drivers is correct.
But Sonar has no build-in support for any Control Surface, at least not inside Sonar executable. The DLL which comes with Platinum should be the latest, but sometimes glitches happens...
Moded DLL is not required till you plan to use EQ/Comp buttons since original one will not work correctly in this case (up to Sonar crash).

Thanks again Azlow! I downloaded your driver and installed it and the configuration file as per the instructions. With that and some tweaking to some of the MIDI settings in Preferences (some of them seemed to not be the default settings) I got my X-Touch working like a champ! Now I gotta download and print out the overlay you made and I'll be ready to dive in to this thing.

For the overlay, the picture I have made does not has right size (I do not have the device).
So take some other overlay, f.e.:

There are also several threads in this forum, people write they have other overlays which may be better.
