..... but I'm probably not meant to comment on stuff like that.

.. but this also gives a feeling that we are sitting with the developer team what Paul has expressed in much better way ->

I'm also constantly impressed by the degree of communication and frankness Cakewalk blesses us with.  It can be a bit confusing at times !

I still have an issue. Running Platinum with the latest upgrades from the command center. The directories show Z3ta is present but it doesn't show up in my synth listings so unable to launch it. I have reinstalled from the command center and from Cakewalk site still no joy. Any thoughts - I too have clients tracks using Z3ta.

Hi there,

So you've installed Z3TA+ 2 but you don't see it in your synth browser in SONAR? Strange. I assume you've rescanned and all that.

One possible reason for your issue: In this update we made Z3TA+ 2 a VST3 plugin, and it had previously been a VST2, so now it will show up in the VST3 folder of the synth browser.

You mentioned you have existing work using Z3TA+ 2. Are you unable to open the synth in those projects?

In SONAR there is a setting (that is on by default) that automatically updates vst2 plugins to their vst3 equivalents if detected. If you have preexisting projects with Z3TA+ 2 as a vst2, those projects should have been upgraded to VST3, and you should be able to open the synth UI by double clicking the track icon (among other methods.)

If you're still having issue, please let us know.

Actually the pre-existing work was prior to +2. I haven't tried to open the synth yet - I would need to pull the files from the archives.
I did check the VST3's. This is what I found - initially there was one VST3 synth on the drop down menu and in the VST manager. It was not the Z3ta. Then I inadvertently removed it from the manager as I was searching around to see what other VST plug in locations were on the computer. I misunderstood the "exclude plug-in" I thought it meant to view possible excluded plug-ins.
Anyway after adding a few plug-in locations my plug-in scan gave 114 (previously had 84). The synth drop down in the platinum browser now shows the z3ta +1 in the VST2 list but now there is no VST3 option on the drop down - or any VST's seen in the plug-in / VST manager.
I'm guessing my early client files will read the Z3ta+1 now - but where are the VST3's?

Oh, I see. We haven't released any updates to Z3TA+, just to Z3TA+ 2. Z3TA+ is still a vst2 plugin and should work as it has been.
