Due to the increasing complexity and size of projects, the preloading of the next song on the playlist whist the current one is playing leads to various issues including glitching. A great option would be the ability to set the playlist to only load one song at a time. In this mode, upon opening, the first song on the playlist is loaded and ready to play. At the end of the song, the current project is closed, the next project opened, and the 'start next song' dialogue appears (as it does now with 'wait for key press' set).

The only cost would be a slight delay whilst the song loaded (not after the key press to start song), which is a non issue when projects are set to wait for key press anyway.

PLEASE can we have some love for the playlist

Sir William
+1 from me for 'love for the playlist'.

if this is optionally configurable, then it's fine with me.

otherwise I quite like the way it is because it only causes glitches on slower HDs (I don't have this problem on SSDs) and I workaround it by having a 2 or 3 bar count-in (if it would glitch on a slower HD, it would do it there while it's still silent for the audience). the count-in I need anyway and 2-3 bars is very much sufficient to load the larger ones of my Sonar live projects (which FYI do not use any VSTi)

Definitely optionally configurable RehabRob. We would not want to sacrifice any functionality that the playlist already has. I too use a count in to get around the issue.
