I have used the Pod hd500 as an AI. Worked fine. Now I use an Audient 14. I like the sounds I get from some of the effects in the HD 500 so I'm going to put my guitar into the HD 500 then run the HD 500 left and right out to the Audient 14 left and right inputs and try that for awhile

Sure have had to do a lot of updates over here myself ...Today Cakewalk by Bandlab , Yesterday Acid Pro 8 .
