Hello,
i'm using pro audio 9 and have problem with inserting audio. When i try to insert the wav file, from the insert menu i can play it with no problem from the PLAY button below Cancel, but when its loaded in the empty track, it loads with yellow backgroung and won't play.
Any help appriciated.

Make sure you have an audio output (sound card) selected in the PORT field of the track.

thanks but no result. i inserted my external sound card and even with it there was no sound! so if theres something else that i could try please tell me!

It might be something to do with the Windows Sound Properties.
 
You might also have to go into those sound properties for both playback and record and select the proper ins and outs for that external sound card.
 
I had problems not being able to record and at times playback with my internal card for that very reason. I needed to actually select the inputs that I was using for recording in the Windows Sound Properties control panel.

Firstly.select the Open Waveform icon in the Organizer Window, which is located on the left side. If you cannot find the Organizer Window, press "ALT+9" to bring it up. Select "Open Waveform" to bring up the "Open a Waveform window." Search your computer for the waveform you would like to insert  Audio Mastering Service

Naved Audio might be a possible spammer.
