Yeah, I go easy on it t be honest, I can crash on it if I have too many too close together. I used to use the Vietnames drip filter, but drink Americano

But last time I went to the UK I came back with my old pot.

I've not been to the Philippines still. I should do being so close, but Laos I next on my travel agenda.

Great I see we have a few more enthusiasts here. FWIW Robusta has more caffeine in it but isn't generally as favored for the taste. I say "generally" because there are folks who have aquired a taste for it.

My wife bought me a french press which I've used a few times. I also have a Krups espresso machine. I wouldn't recommend going to your doc for a blood pressure check after drinking that. He might have you admitted.OK in small quantities like they serve in Italy. Definitely stay away from the 20oz size on that. So good it'll make you slap you momma though.

I would love to have that experience bitflipper.

btw, if anyne has been tempted by the Bialetti coffee pots, the newer rounded style is mre refined than the traditional octagonal stye.

Better screw thread (locates easier)
Better spout (If your pour to quickly, it doesn't go everywhere)
Better central column (Direct the coffee down, so if you check too soon, it's not a coffee sprinkler system)

It is harder to grip, though when un-screwing, and I am nervous of the fatigue of using the handle for leverage. But they don't need t be as tightly screwed as people tend to think.

PM me I'll try to send you some. I don't sell it or haven't planned to other than small amounts. It's mainly a hobby.

The home roasting machines are over priced. I can't financially justify buying one.
Here's what I use-
- Breadmaker, holds 1 lb. of beans
-Heat gun
-Gloves
-Infrared Temperature Gun
-Digital timer
-Homemade cooling device. I bought a cheap small box fan and built a small box with screen in it that fits over the fan. You could simply dump roasted beans in a large colander and stir them, however you risk over roasting if you don't cool the beans fast enough.
Time from green beans to roasted beans- About 12-15 minutes
Beans should "off gas" C02 for at least 24 hours and be put into an airtight container.

I had to stop drinking coffee about 15+ years ago due to my stomach not being pleased with it anymore.
From a coffee drinker on a massive massive scale, to nothing took a while to get over.
Now, it tastes as it did when I 1st tasted it as a child. Muddy water

The acidity in coffee can definitely be a problem for some people. Maybe a lightly roasted brew done in a weaker mix?
There's only a few more things this fun you can do with your clothes on.
