I want to write a song with vocal chopping effect. I am wondering does Sonar could split down my audio clips and assign them to separate midi keys? This tutorial for Ableton Live does exactly what I mean, please have a look from 0:50 to 1:30

I've tried Cyclone but I don't even know how to slice the audio. Also Cyclone only has 16 assignable pads which I don't think is enough. AudioSnap could chop down the clips but not evenly (It will just... snap the audio..) and it does not assign them to midi controller.

Btw I also own Komplete 10. Is there any simple method (or plugins) to achieve the vocal chopping effect?

Many thanks!!

you can do it manually or.... look up a free VST called GLITCH and let it automate that for you. I think it does what I think you want.

Thanks. I want to have more control in the melody... maybe GLITCH isn't really suitable.
I'm now using Kontakt as a sampler and it is not bad. At least I can slice the audio easily.

Yes quite easily doable with Kontakt.
