If someone has JUST the controller they'd like to off-load I may be interested.  I've been using the 700R for a few years- atypically- without the controller.

You may be better off with the new Behringer controller. It will be more powerful and it can be adapted for any DAW and future versions of most software. Something the V700C cannot do and will most likely never be able to do.

Behringer controllers doesn't have the Play/Record transport controls like the VS-700C, so therefore Behringer is just a digital mixer with DAW mixer slider capabilities. I think you would need another external component to control the Play/Record functions which sorta defeats the purpose of a substitute purchase for me personally.

Yes it has full transport controls and a jog and shuttle wheel. I have owned the V Studio system myself and in the end all I was using it for was fine tuning buss levels and using the transport. The Behringer controller can do all that and more and it may be useful over a wider range of software as well.

Ah man, that's what I was looking for and couldn't find at Namm when I went to the Behringer booth. Oh well, maybe next year.
