I've just bought Quad Capture this afternoon. At the first time I plug it in my PC, I can easily playback my music and record some tracks of acoustic guitar to test. But after I restart my PC and try to change sample rate (default is 48000 Hz), my Quad Capture does not work anymore. When I playback music by Winamp, the indicator of "Playback" tab in Windows sound shows that there is signal but in the mixer, there is no signal (look at attachment for more details). Of course, there is no input signal, too. I put a microphone through XLR and a guitar through 1/4" jack. There is no signal here!
I've tried uninstalling my driver and install it again, restart the computer many times, change to other USB ports, but there is nothing better. I'm using Windows 8.1 and have the driver updated from Roland Downloads page
Can anyone help me solve this problem?
 
Edited: For anyone who use Windows 8.1 and Quad Capture: you must update your driver (1.52) and your firmware to: QUAD-CAPTURE System Program Version 1.04. Now, my Quad Capture is working as it should.
 

Step by step..
 
1. When you plug in the mic, is there light signal at the Quad Capture's front panel when you speak into it ? Using phantom power ?
 
2. Have you tried changing back the sample rate ?
 
3. Tried another USB 2 port ?
 
4. Windows Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Sound - Playback tab - is Quad Capture selected, with a green 'tick' marked on 1-2 channel ?

1: No signal. I used dynamic mic, so I don't switch Phantom power to on.
2: I have change it back to default, reinstalled driver many times.
3: Yes, I have.
4: Yes, there is signal in this tab, but not in Quad Capture control panel.
 
How can I post some pictures? I tried to insert links, insert pictures in my PC but they do not show.

There must be a light signal for inputs at the front panel to start with - may have to push the gain higher, else there is something wrong with the mic/cable. Try switching to input 2, if still fails, try using a guitar input. Make sure the HI-Z is set correctly (on for guitar, off for mic).

The forum does not allow direct upload of pics. You can post it to photobucket,etc, copy the direct link and insert it as image link.

 I've tried both input 1,2, both mic and GTR, I've set Hi-Z correctly (on for guitar, off for mic).
 

Check your Quad-Capture setting Driver - Driver Setting.

Thank you! I've tried updating my Quad Capture's firmware and now it's working properly!
Do you use your Quad Capture replacing your soundcard (Quad Capture is always on when you turn the computer on)? Does it harm the AI?

Yes, on my DAW system, the Quad Capture is my main audio interface - soundcard sounds like a card inside the PC :)
 
I do have 2 other older interfaces one for backup (Phonic Firefly), and the other with more inputs (Alesis Multimix) if I'm required to track more channels than the Quad. The Quad Capture seems to be my go to audio interface as I seldom need more than 2 audio channels and is USB powered - it will just powered on/off following the PC.
 
I never seems to use the internal PC sound card anymore, to the extend that I switch off the usage at Windows system properties (I think at the bios level too).
