Hey all,
I'm doing more mixing and less actual recording. I'm usually only recording guitars now so I only need two to four inputs on my interface.
However, what I do need is more analogue outputs. I've used a Tascam US1641 for the longest time (probably 10 years?) and it has served its purpose well but it only has one extra pair of analogue outs meaning I can only use one piece of external hardware at a time.

It isn't a MASSIVE issue, it just means that the process is a little slow.

The only interface I have found at a sensible budget is the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, though like I say it is kind of throwing money away on inputs I don't really need.

I'd like an interface with maybe two mic pres / DI, a monitor out, headphone out, 8 line-outs and 8 line ins. Anyone think of anything similar?

Cheers guys.

MOTU 1248 fits your specs. Not sure it fits your budget?

About twice as much as what I can realistically afford, but can always save some cahs and happy to look on the used market also.
Cheers!

Adji   I have the 1641 on my laptop, still. No problems, either

BTW   Which driver are you using?    I've been trying install the latest one v2.07 but can't seem to
