One of my favorite music sharing websites.  The UI was great IMHO.  It did need updates to support all new web browsers (very MS specific).  Maybe bandlab can take over???  There are going to be a lot of users looking for a new home.

I always liked having a place for Acid users (the software program- Mesh u know what I mean).
 
I never caught on with it. It was easier to come here and well.............I never left.

I will miss from a nostalgic point of view, but the site was kinda meh.  In the beginning they had amazing remix contests, some of which I regret not downloading the stems (like the kinda blue album remix contest and the David Bowie Motel remix). I miss the 8 pack battles I and fellow users would have weekly.

As I understand it, Acid Pro is going strong and has a recent release which hasn't changed the program much. Mainly changes to assure compatibility.
I would buy Acid again. Not sure how much I would actually use it. It would be nice to have an updated version of the program.
Making something that sounds like music in it couldn't be easier. Just drag the loops around and they all line up in timing and in key.It's a lot more complicated than that as it's a fairly deep DAW in other respects and limited in a few others. 
It's sad the community is going away.

Acid was much deeper than the loop aspect of it for it’s time. Unfortunately most DAWs do what Acid did better than Acid now. Sounds like nothing evolutionary in new release.

Heads up. News has it that something similar to Acid planet will be launched by Magix.
