Hi. I agree that it would be nice with a visual feedback to show on or off.
But it is most often a "single operation tool", same as the move tool, smart tool etc. You change back when done.

Yeah, but I also forget to switch back to Smart Tool after I have it selected for something else.  But at least you can look up and see that it hasn't been switched back.
Plus, the damage is far less...in fact sometimes nothing happens at all if I forget to switch back to Smart Tool.
But on the other hand, forgetting to switch off the Ripple Editing can cause quite a mess.

Even though this has already been discussed a few times here, I agree (again) there should be an indicator light or button that is always visible when Ripple Editing is on.

EDIT:  I'm not a programmer, so I wonder how difficult that would be to implement in the UI?
Because that would make a great feature for next month's update.
