Yes, it would not make any difference on which system you created a WinPE iso. WinPE does not take its drivers from that system, but only has the drivers it ships with. You would still need to add those machine specific drivers to your flash drive version when you set it up, even if you set it up on the machine that required those specific drivers. The only advantage to setting it up on your target machine is that you might be able to find the necessary driver stored there, but in the general case you would need to do what you did, i.e. find the appropriate driver files somewhere and add them to WinPE manually.

The cool thing about Macrium is that it does all that for you automatically on the target system.

Sir Les
you can get imbrn clean installer and the latest versions of some other helpful programs...free.
And I believe the owner of the site takes on requests for additions to post clean tools for download.

https://ninite.com/

Just select the things you want in the installer, and download the packages or package.
when run, it installs those apps and tools latest updates versions.

have not used for a while the site, so read up...if you feel it is worth while

the package can be put into a iso, auto run folder ,and made to run on installs.
I have never got a MS OS Iso to include motherboard drivers installation files or installers of external drivers, on mS os setup from a made iso...and some troubles with MS allowing iso downloads anymore from their site, after win 7 or 8 I believe, because of hackers getting the iso, and putting in a keygen key code...so I stopped trying when they would not address how to make a backup of their os in iso with drivers of the devices of the MB and audio devices being used on said system, and would not do any help on the subject...to make a perfect install of a system and os...right from a cd or dvd..or usb stick or thumb drive....they said it is not supported to do by MS tech to me back in that time of 2014-15.

regards.
