This and guitar center are two big what happeneds?  The article says hubris and bad business decisions There are many, many more music consumers than ever before across the world, and neither of these companies were record companies. The switch to digital should have been a good opportunity It should have been a great time for them.  And please, please, don't bring up the race to the bottom and china etc etc.  As much as those might have been relevent, it's also a fact that people are buying music products at a much higher rate than ever before.  There was just an article in WSJ about the fact that *the guitar is as popular as it's ever been*.  But I'm just an dumb song writer, not a business person.  Take this with a grain of salt.

Yeah. the guitar is falling out of vogue right now and perhaps forever as there seems no stopping EDM this time. Bedroom producers are increasingly using synths and guitar strumming vsti when they need it. There was a time when nearly every home had a piano.

If you're getting into EDM I just want you to know I'm available to take those extra guitars.
