Had a listen earlier in the week but didn't get a chance to comment.   Beautiful song and very well performed and mixed.   Had the same thought this time through, I kept expecting to hear a little bass and maybe some random percussion (particularly during the guitar solo).    It certainly stands on its' own as is though. 
 
Vocals are superb.  Sounds like a cross between Peter Gabriel and Jon Anderson to me:)

Wow, that is some nice stuff!   The imagery in the lyrics is really strong and the vocals themselves sound so good (re: the Peter Gabriel meets Jon Anderson comment above).   The supporting instrumentation is right there with it though...   subtle, yet full and balanced.
