The Win 10 October 2018 update (V1809) is available for manual download for those that want to upgrade early.  I have installed it and so far no issues other than a couple of add-ons that will have to be reactivated due to a "new PC" which is always the case with updates such as this. 
 
Here is the thread on the tenforums.com with options to either do an upgrade or download the ISO and upgrade with that.

I'm installing as normal through Windows Update. No download necessary.

So, they released it to the Windows Update channel.  That wasn't how it was earlier today.
 

I didn't even need to reauthorize the XLN VSTs. Cool.
