I went to Ultra last year.  Looks like I can go '19 Ultra for $99

I was gonna skip this year, but being able to use 64 bit plugs and the plug version have me leaning towards it.

That's a good price for Ultra but would you need Ultra again Bob? If you got it last year then you would have all of the RTs and would just need to top up with the PlusPak.

Having watched the DAW plugin video it does make the purchase all the more compelling!

Yes, via the PlusPak @ $99.  An upgrade to Ultra would be $149

I haven't tried the VST version yet, but when I TRY to run the 64-bit version of BiaB (biab64.exe), it begins the same startup routine as the 32-bit version, but eventually (within seconds), crashes to Windows desktop. Windows seems unaffected.

Anyone else have this problem?

Gonna have to register in the BiaB forum. I had BiaB Pro+ 2014, and just upgraded it to Mega 2019.

TM, You could also contact PGMusic support on support@pgmusic.com
They usually respond quickly as they have to my query about what the current equivalent of EverythingPak is (I have updated my post).

There's also online help via the little side bar popout thingy on their website which might be even quicker.

Do you have the latest build from 12/2? Fixed that crash for many.

Good point gmon72!

I usually wait until the middle of the month to buy it as there are often quite a few fixes after the initial release so I wait until it is more stable. Build 602 is here --> https://www.pgmusic.com/support_windowsupdates.htm

Unfortunately, I do have 602.

There's something else going on. I ran BiaB 64 as Admin. It didn't crash, but I'm getting loud noise on startup and over the top of any RT I try playing. Doesn't happen with the 32-bit app. That works great.

Still struggling with the Win10 1809 update. Issues remain.

The difference between the UltraPlus PAK and the former Everything PAK / now UltraPlus+ PAK is the addition of some tutorial videos that were made many years ago and which are now out-of-date.

If you use Band-in-a-Box and purchased the UltraPlus PAK, Everything PAK or Audiophile edition in 2018 then the most cost effective upgrade is the $99 PlusPAK.  The PlusPAK includes 2019 Band-in-a-Box and RealBand, sets 301 to 328 RealTracks sets (for a total of 202 RealTracks).  During December a bonus PAK is included which provides MIDI SuperTracks set 28, 15 MIDI only styles and Brent Mason 12-key CountryPop Guitar Licks (Instrumental Study # 7).

During December, a $49 addition named the 2019 49-PAK includes 50 additional RealTracks, MIDI SuperTracks set 29, another 15 MIDI only styles, Brent Mason 12-key Train-Beat Licks ((Instrumental Study # 8) and Geoff Kelly Celtic Flute (Instrumental Study # 9).

One new feature not mentioned so far is the addition of RealDrums midi transcription notation.  This means people wanting more control over the sound of the drums than previously offered with the stereo RealDrums tracks can export the finished RealDrums as a MIDI file and place each instrument component onto its own midi track.  21 RealDrums now have drum notation.  The notation was captured during the RealDrums recording by having the drummer use a drum kit with midi triggers.
