I was able to successfully get the two-step upgrade.
I ended up with two serial numbers.  One for Pro and one for Ultra.
I had to manually replace the Pro Serial Number (in the secret text file) with the Ultra Serial # in order to populate the download Manager in BIAB Utilities with the 120gb of content.

After three days of 24/7 downloading I have three files to go, so I beat the arrival of the physical drive.
This thread was lots of fun.  You guys are the best.

If you have 2018/2019, you can upgrade from the Pro Pack to the Ultra Pack...for $149.
Well, I have 2019...which I got during this sale period, two days ago.
If I had simply gotten the Ultra Pack two days ago, it would
have cost me $469.  First time purchase.

The Pro cost $129.  First time purchase.
So by doing this twice, First time ($129 - Pro) purchase
then immediate upgrade ($149 - Ultra)
The Ultra Pak only costs $278
That's $200 less.

I mus not be understanding their upgrade system correctly.  Anyone?

Thanks very much~ Thedoccal~
I did not understand their price.
I read your writing and took careful steps..  I got an Ultra Pack for $278!
You are the best!

Hi,
Has anyone tried the soundfont player ?
Is it also a soundfont editor ?

Thanks.

Has anyone managed to get the new DAW Plugin working?  My VST scan showed CbB had found it, and it shows a VST Instrument in the Plugin Utility.  But in a project in the browser there is no BIAB Instrument listed.  I only upgraded for this and I can't get it working.  Is it me or a bug/incompatibility issue??

Haven't d/l the new version yet. I had trouble with getting everything installed with BiaB 2017. I still need to update to 18 & 19. I am hoping that the bugs get worked out by the time I get to it. That's the one big feature I want to work also.

Have you downloaded v606 yet Skyline?  https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=509297#Post509297

I'm still holding off until they iron out the bugs. They usually extend the sales period. It was end January this year for BIAB 2018 which I actually missed but emailed support on 2nd Feb and they still let me have the upgrade deals.

I managed to get the VST to show up, by an odd process.  It wasn't showing as a VST instrument in any category, including 'Uncategorised', so I re-sorted them in manufacturer order and it appeared!  I then re-sorted them in Type order and it appeared.  Ah well...

I haven't experimented with the plugin yet, but the first irritant is that the chord symbols are in that wretched Comic Sans font which PG Music have always been so fond of in their viedeos and documentation, which I think just lends credence to those detractors who regard BIAB as not being a serious application. I can't yet see how to change the font to something sensible. I'll post if I do.

To change the font right click on the font and halfway down the menu will be Display Options.
There is a "Choose Font" bar and four drop down menus to the right of it.
It's a little weird understanding how it works but it works.

I get nothing when I right click on a chord symbol.
Mind you, if I load a style and click Generate the blue comfort bar stops at about 90%. Nothing working really.
