Would have traded the 4K for a touch screen but you get what you get with open box deals.

Sweet deal!  I'm knee deep in the laptop add on myself!  Switching to all ssd's really helps for "quiet".  That 1TB platter is the loudest thing!  I bit the bullet, at lawajava's urging, and added 2 1TBs to my 998$ asus ROG....

u'll love the 4k, if u can add a bigger 4k... more I think of it, you got an ammmmmmaaaazing deal!  Mines a piddily HD screen...which my old eyes will NOT appreciate in the long run.

Yeah, this thing is MUCH quieter than the HP so I'm pretty happy so far.

But it gets even better. When I opened it to swap out the 1TB for the old LT's 750GB (with all my projects) I was pleasantly surprised to find a 2nd M.2 SSD slot, so it actually has room for 3 drives. Now I don't have to worry about setting up a new OS drive. The 128 can stay & I'll just add a 300GB SSD for OS backup, programs & documents. Then I'll put the 1TB in the old LP or sell it or most likely make it an external USB 3 drive for additional storage.

Next: Big touchscreen monitor...

Yep... these gaming laps are awesome... easy to upgrade and spiff out... I'm running acronis right now, awaiting the promised Amazon 1TB evo delivery... hope their workin' late, them independent dudes!

Haven't opened mine yet but think it can support up to four... if you throw in swapping out the cd caddy for a hd.  If u have a cd drive U should b able to do that also.

Asus made it hard to get to the 2nd 2 memory slots... 2 are easy, but there are two underneath the computer.  So my 48 gig planned memory is gonna stall at 32 till I'm willing to really open things up and add back in the two 8 gig sticks.... Guess they didn't wanna make it too easy to upgrade a 1K$ lap to a 3.5K$ lap for a thousand bucks!

But all in all it's like Xmas tonight!!!

OK. 1st BIG issue... not with the LT but with my UFX1204USB interface. Apparently Behringer makes no Win10 drivers but they can be installed and run in compatibility mode.

RAM now 16GB & 3rd 512GB SSD added. Total so far=$1500. Way less than if I bought it set up that way.

Anyone wanna buy 8GB of RAM (2x4GB DDR4 2133)?
