I bought a new synth/keyboard (Yamaha MM6) to use as an outboard sound module. In Sonar I can change the banks and patches with the software. Is there a way to do this in P5v2 ? I can set the instrument and channel with the hardware controls, but I don't seem to be able to find a way to do inside of P5.

I don't believe you can...P5 does not have bank select and program select features in the track inspector controls of the "external MIDI track" type.  And I don't think it can edit that type of data.  But you can probably create a MIDI clip that has the appropriate commands in it and then place that clip into the MIDI track--perhaps P5 would spit the data out to the Yammy.

I might give that a try this weekend. It's not a big deal, but if they would have kept P5 alive, it might have become a feature.

Thanks for showing me this Tom, and for all the work you do to help us. Now my next question before I download and open the zip. Is there an explanation of how this loads/works? Do I just open it and install some mysterious script? How many beers can I consume before I actually begin this operation. (not something you would want to hear from your surgeon)

It's too nice a day here in Indianapolis to be indoors, so I'll get on this tomorrow.
