With my recent purchase of the VS-700 it came with an upgrade to X3 producer. I'm currently running X2 producer. I also own Melodyne essentials. My questions......there are several updates to X3. Do I need to install every one ( a, b, and c )?
Can I choose to not install Melodyne since it is currently on my machine?
Somewhere in the forums I read that I should not install the portion of the download that pertains to the V studio system. Could someone shine some light on this? And lastly......how has stability been working with X3? Thanks for your help.

if you decide to go with X3c, X3c is enough to install (it's a cumulative update)

yes, but make sure you have the VST3 version installed as this is required for the new ARA functionality - which is a major leap forward in terms of usability

reinstalling your original melodyne version before or after X3 won't hurt, just make sure you do the VST scan and the path to the melodyne VST3 is included in the scan

BTW, there just recently was a melodyne update which improves ARA stuff - I suggest downloading & using this

no, if you run the installer for the X3 package, keep the V stuff unchecked (if everything is working fine with your system now) or if you already installed it, then install the package of the link above afterwards

if you run the VST scan in X3 and get no funny messages about MIDI ports not being configured correctly and VST scan goes thru without any message box prompt, then you're fine :-)
