I just got a new windows 8 machine.

I have Cakewalk 5.  I'd like to install it on the windows 8 machine.  then maybe upgrade to the 5.05 version I see pinned here.

should that work?

thanks

you can try, but there's no guarantee.  MC5 was released long before Windows 8.

I just picked up a copy of Music Creator 6 touch as an upgrade for $ 9.99 at the Cakewalk store
to put on my Win 8 computer ..

I liked the MC 6 for XP so much I said why not ….
right now with out an upgrade price it would still only cost $ 19.99….

imho , new W 8 computer …why mess around.

Wow..... with prices that low...it's a no-brainer....

But when I see prices that low it makes me wonder if Cake isn't planning to end the MC line.

+1 on the price and the no brainer strategy

I wound up getting MC6 first for XP , I liked it so much I got the Win 8 touch version for my non touch lap top

I have no idea if Cake is planning on ending the MC line …..if so why come out w a touch version ?
